Why I rebuilt this website
I wanted a place that gets better when I add to it, not a portfolio that goes stale.
The old version of this site was basically a small personal landing page. It did the job, but it had no reason to change unless I decided to redesign it again.
That is backwards for a personal website.
I want this version to become more interesting because I use it. A project update, a short note, a useful link, or a longer piece of writing should all make the homepage feel a little more current without requiring a redesign.
The design follows that idea. Dates, titles, descriptions, and classifications do most of the work. There are fewer containers and fewer moments where the interface asks for attention instead of giving it to the content.
